The Department of Biology offers Bachelor’s of Science degrees in Botany and in Zoology, and jointly offers the Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology with the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. The department also offers a wide variety of undergraduate life sciences courses in biology, botany and zoology that can be taken for major credit, elective credit or general education credit by students in majors across the UF campus. Department faculty mentor undergraduate students participating in research projects ranging from molecular and cellular biology to evolutionary biology and population ecology.
