Springer-Verlag publishes innovative ecological research of international interest in the journal, Oecologia. Reviews, advances in methodology, and original contributions emphasize the following areas: physiological ecology, population ecology, plant-animal interactions, ecosystem ecology, community ecology, global change ecology, conservation ecology, and behavioral ecology. Editors-in-Chief handle submissions to the journal based upon research subject matter. The Department of Biology at the University of Florida hosts the journal’s editorial office for Aquatic Ecology.
