On this page you will find links to programs that are offered through UF along with recommended software for Device Security.
Offered on all Biology/CLAS IT managed Windows computers:
- CLAS Software Center – Glass Building Icon on Desktop or Software Center in Start Menu – All programs listed under CLAS Software Center to do not require admin rights to install and can be installed by anyone using the device. These programs also install updates to programs to make sure they are patched properly. If you are looking for a piece of software check here first to see if it is offered and if not submit a service request.
Offered Free to Faculty and Staff; Grads may be eligible based on specific offering or for reduced rate.

Recommended Software for Device Security
All devices are required to have some form of antivirus if they are going to be used for UF business or research.
There are a number of Anti-Virus tools available to use:
For Mac:

For Windows:

- MalwareBytes – On Personal Computers ONLY – Free:

For Linux:
- Currently none recommended but available.

If a piece of software requires a license, it must first be properly licensed before it can/will be installed on a UF computer.
