CLAS Biology Advising

Biology Department Advising assists students with the following:

·Honors thesis questions
·Research credit registration
·Petitions that need Biology Department approval
·Review of double major or dual degree requests
·Review of upper-division change of major applications
·Registration in departmentally controlled courses
·Approval of a course substitute for an additional life science elective course
·Course equivalencies for incoming transfer credit
·Transient course approval for a major required course
·Questions about graduate programs, combined degree programs, career options
·Student resources for promoting success in major related courses

CLAS Advising in the Academic Advising Center has a centralized team of general advisers to assist you with the following:

· Degree requirements and degree audit
· Critical tracking requirements

· Double major, dual degree, and minor forms
· College and university requirements
· Transient course requests through FL Shines
· Academic Progress petitions
· Final degree certification and graduation
· CLAS petitions.
